From local shop to Canada-wide distributor.
In 1975, Lowell Beaton purchased and expanded the services for a local electric motor repair shop. The business was already rewinding small tool armatures, but Lowell brought the company to new heights by turning it into a full-service repair shop, all while his two sons were watching and learning. The boys, Rob and Chris Beaton, witnessed their dad's hard work as they grew up and knew that they would someday be a part of their dad's business.
The avid outdoorsmen, Rob and Chris, spent their young years working on classic cars, fixing their dirt bikes and ATVs, and constantly searching for new tools and toys online. The ease at which they could find what they were looking for resulted in a business idea. Why not offer the same convenience to the electric motor industry? Combining their years of experience, their knowledgeable team, their network of manufacturers, and their business expertise, Rob and Chris got to work. eMotors Direct was born.
